Leather Cleaning & Conditioning
Leather is a type of upholstery material that can crack, fade, shrink and sustain permanent damage over time unless it is professionally cleaned and treated on a regular basis.
TPC Carpet Care technicians will assess the type of leather and determine the appropriate cleaning product and conditioner to use.
Process
1 Using damp micro fibre cloth remove all loose soil materials (dust etc)
2 Apply powerful professional strength leather cleaner using a clean cloth in a circular motion until soil transfer occurs
3 Allow to dry
4 Apply leather conditioner with a clean cloth ( conditioner is formulated to soften and revive leather surfaces active ingredient is lanolin must be done otherwise cleaning agent will dry leather out resulting in cracking)
5 Allow to dry then gently buff surface
Carpet & Fabric Protection
Eeco-shield carpet and fabric protector is a long lasting polymer water based stain release application protecting carpets and fabrics from stains, grime, and general soiling.
Protection is applied to new or pre-cleaned furnishings and is designed to give a durable and invisible protective shield by preventing fibres from absorbing liquids, dirt and grime suitable for use on all fabrics.
Process
1 Steam clean carpet/upholstery prior
2 Using an electric pump, evenly spray eco shield to obtain an even coverage
3 Eco shield must ‘air cure’ for a period of 24hr, in which it will gain max strength
Stain Removal & Treatment
Most stains can be successfully treated and removed.
We have an extensive range of products designed to remove or improve the appearance of most stains although due to factors (fibre type and stain) some stains will remain permanent.
Successful removal of stains can be obtained through an understanding of ph values for common materials found on carpets, as a rule thumb an‘acid’stain can be removed by an ‘alkali’ detergent and vice versa. Please see our ‘hand tips’ page for more detailed information.
Odour Control
To effectively counteract bad odour all carpet and upholstery cleaning will be deodorised during the steam cleaning process by the way of adding a concentrate to the carpet/upholstery pre spray, although in some cases direct attention to the source of the odour is required ie pet urine.
It still may be difficult to remove the odour completely if the odour causing liquid/material has soaked through into the underlay, foam cushion or mattress, in severe cases replacement of materials may be the only option products eliminator highly concentrated deodoriser designed to neutralise odours.
It contains an effective biocide to aid in reducing the bacteria that causes odours medi-tec hospital grade biocide specifically used for urine decontamination extra cost as extremely expensive.
